You Are Exactly Where You’re Supposed to Be

A Gentle Reminder for My 20-Somethings (and Everyone Else)

I see so many of you navigating life with worry, doubt, and a constant pressure to "figure it all out." Maybe you’re scrolling through social media, watching highlight reels of other people’s lives, and wondering, Am I behind? Am I doing enough? Maybe you’re feeling the weight of expectations from family, friends, or even yourself.

Let me remind you: you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

Life Is a Journey, Not a Race

I want you to take a deep breath and remember that life is a lifelong journey. You’re not supposed to have it all figured out right now—or maybe ever. Life unfolds in layers. Some seasons are for growth and hard work, others are for rest and reflection. Sometimes you’ll find yourself restarting or retracing your steps, but none of that means you’re failing. It means you’re learning.

We often put so much focus on "getting somewhere" that we forget the value of being here. This moment, right now, is part of your story.

Decades of Development

Let’s think long-term: we’re aiming for decades of development, of evolving into the person we are meant to become. Your 20s—and any time of transition—are a time to explore, discover, and plant seeds for the future. You’re not running out of time. You are building a foundation, and that takes patience and grace.

When I see my patients and clients, especially those in their 20s, I often remind them to zoom out. Imagine your life not as a single snapshot but as a beautifully complex, ever-changing mosaic. Each piece matters, even the ones that feel out of place now.

Focus on Your Passions

When you feel overwhelmed or unsure, take a moment to reflect on what truly lights you up. What are your passions? What brings you joy? Pursuing those things is what will bring you lasting happiness and peace—not a timeline imposed by social media or external pressures.

Your path will not look like anyone else’s, and that’s the beauty of it. Stay true to what feels authentic for you.

You Will Get There

The journey can feel daunting, but I want to remind you of one simple truth: you will be okay. The pressures you feel right now won’t last forever. You are capable, resilient, and deserving of a life filled with purpose and joy.

So, please, give yourself permission to breathe. To dream. To grow at your own pace. And to trust that you are exactly where you’re meant to be.

A Final Word

If this message resonates with you, I encourage you to take a step back from the noise of the world and focus on the stillness within. Whether you’re in your 20s, 40s, or beyond, it’s never too late to realign with what matters most.

You’ve got this.

Be well,

Dr. CeeCee
